Ron Morgan and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band
"Blowing Ron's Candle Out, Does Not Make Other's Brighter"
Now that the (3) installments of Tim Forster's article on WCPAEB are out in Shindig; it still looks much like the same rhetoric that has been mentioned before. That old rhetoric rears it's ugly head again.

It is well known,
WCPAEB did not make any kind of a ground breaking impact in the sixties; there were many more talented bands that captured the scene. Many went on to even better glory and it was the music that made it happen; not the breaking an instrument over someone's back. When fussing spoils the vision; nothing synchs up and if you look at the more successful bands; their story usually speaks of harmony in communicating musical ideas... that's what makes GOOD songs. WCPAEB has become a story of Great Egos than that of music in my opinion... a book, a movie? They will have to come up with a fictional character to portray Ron; as that is how Ron is obviously viewed by Lloyd and the Harris's. Ron's family will not approve of seeing Ron's candle blown out to make theirs brighter. Ironically, the most popular songs of WCPAEB are either of Ron's design and/or credit [per: majority of online postings]... go figure

Article (1)
The mention of Ron's drug use is a bit shallow; I met Stacie London while visiting with Ron in 1968. Ron was staying with her briefly in between finding a new apartment for himself. Ron indicated to me he was uncomfortable staying there and that Stacie would put drugs in his drinks to get him into bed. As much as I had been around Ron, I never once observed Ron to be on LSD; he always would comment that he did not like the effects of it. Ron has had friendships that were users; sometimes Ron would "play along" just to appease people. He may have not known then; It would be used so cheaply later. It has been noted by Ron's family with some sorrow; a few of Ron's friends have not signed the memorial guest book attached to this tribute after two years standing. Perhaps their Ego is still on that throne of "I'm too high to humble myself to that".

Article (2)
This brings the question to mind; what is the true motive in these articles? Using names of famous folks who really didn't have anything to do with the outcome of the music... I mean really. And Markley takes on more ugly; Ron still looks rather insignificant in comparison to what the Harris Brothers say!
Tim Forster uses old text and comments from the OLD "Legend of WCPAEB" pages... I sent him new info in several emails and he elected to not use it. If this is a true upstaging-hype for a book or movie... it will surely look like the "dog ate the other dog" and got the bone too!
I don't believe a book would do that well; as I too have done research and found that wcpaeb is still very unknown... nothing adds up to any impressive numbers.

Article (3)
Tim Forster may have a title as an authority on the WCPAEB; but still seems to come across as the usual amatuer journalist by re-vamping the old. Nor bringing subjects up to the present in regards to the misinformation contained in the beginning of the story. Still, logistics show that there is virtually no interest in wcpaeb; or that wcpaeb is to be acknowledged in Rock history of any significance.
Ron Morgan's Family only saw the 3-part articles as putting Ron in a light of casualty; the unfortunate one; the loser amongst the winners. That gave Ron's fans a warm fuzzy feeling about the story;
The Harris Brothers can keep their glory and need not humble themselves by saying; "Ron Morgan brought talent, style, gifted - unique - lead/ rhythm guitar parts to the most popular songs of WCPAEB!!!"
